Your documents stay on your device

Fatkan is an offline PDF reader. It has no account and no login. The PDFs you open, and the highlights, drawings, bookmarks and reading positions you make, are stored only on your phone. Fatkan does not upload them anywhere.

Files from other apps

When you open a PDF from another app, Fatkan may keep a private copy inside its own storage so it stays available in “Recent reads”. The copy is removed when the file leaves that list.

Sharing and printing

Fatkan shares or prints a file only when you choose Share or Print, and only with the app or printer you pick.

Text recognition

Fatkan uses Google ML Kit to read scanned pages. The processing of your documents happens fully on your device. ML Kit also sends metrics about the performance and use of its APIs to Google. This includes device information (manufacturer, model, OS version), app and ML Kit version, per-installation identifiers, performance data and error codes. Contacting us

If you tap “Contact us” in the app, your email app opens with your app version, Android version and phone model in the message. Nothing is sent unless you send it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
